You caught me there Joes but let me try to flesh out my theory... I did a quick think and are there any sources saying that the major shareholder paring its stake is Fidelity?

Fidelity (if it is indeed Fidelity) could be selling down to re-balance its portfolio. Alternatively, it could be paring its exposure to the stock ahead of its full year report or that it knows something that we do not. This is a strong signal.

As for BlackRock, you are right that the conversion price is a minimum of 28.8 cents. They are unlikely the group of people selling down. I guess for discussion and shareholder benefit, can anyone state the group that has put out the large sell queues?

I am vested (very small time) and hence am watching developments ahead of its full year results.

I truly enjoyed a number of her songs such as:

The Greatest Love of All

I Wanna Dance With Somebody

I will Always Love You

Coverup, can you explain your theory?
So far, I know 28.8 cents is the minimum subscription price for BlackRock, so it's no point for them or anyone to suppress the price. BlackRock would rather the stock price be much higher so it can subscribe at 28.8 and then sell for a profit.

It is relevant to note that BlackRock also had bought placement shares when it issued US$40 m of convertible bonds to CAH. BlackRock got no luck in that it paid 35 cent a share for the new CAH shares. Total S$7 m. BlackRock can easily get all these shares at 23-26 cents in the last six months. Too bad....

I think the answer lies somewhere in the convertible bonds that BlackRock had subscribed to. A very close reading of the article would be useful in understanding Fidelity's intention. I have only four lots of China Animal Healthcare and frankly despite all the positive publicity, the stock's price has barely moved, back to where we were a year ago.

Topic : Why So Many Lose Back Profits

Once again, many investors have missed out on the latest market rally because of fear of more bad news and a further drop in stock prices. An outstanding feature of the current rally is the very early and strong participation of small caps or penny stocks as they had been savagely sold down last year. Those brave ones, who bought into such stocks in December in anticipation of a New Year Rally, would likely have made very handsome gains; even if they had bought blindly – no need to have special skill or knowledge!

One group of people, who lose money in the current rally, would be those non-professional short sellers (likely to have made much money in 2011) who were still very bearish of the market. It is pay back time for them, with many losing at least a portion of their gains.

What makes the stock market so interesting is that –

BULLS MAKE MONEY

BEARS MAKE MONEY

THE PIGS ALWAYS GET SLAUGHTERED

Too many surprises will happen in 5 years to too many stocks, unless your stocks are rock steady and predictable businesses.

I like the Kim Eng list in : http://nextinsight.net/index.php/story-archive-mainmenu-60/912-2011/4372-d

Price is artificially pressed down & kept at 25-26 cents range, so the offer price need not too expensive for the management/SS???? Is this the game?

Topic : How you see the market ?

Loud cars and loud lifestyles are often the key reason for the downfall of people who made illicit money. Look at the Singapore Land Authority guy’s case. It’s the same in Italy – read how they catch tax evaders.

Bloomberg ----  Police fanned out across Milan in late January halting more than 350 vehicles, mostly luxury SUVs and Porsches.

At checkpoints, including one adjacent to the fashionable Corso Como, the police got the driver’s license and registration, which they passed on to the national tax agency. The tax authorities will use the data to check if the cars’ owners had declared enough income -- and of course paid the right amount of income taxes -- to justify their lifestyles.

It was at least the fifth raid targeting wealthy Italians since a Dec. 30 sweep at the posh Cortina d’Ampezzo ski resort, where 251 high-end cars were stopped, including Ferrari and Lamborghini supercars, Bloomberg Businessweek reports in its Feb. 13 issue. Rome, Portofino on the Italian Riviera and Florence have also been targeted.

“I’ve been stopped three times in the last few weeks by authorities because I’m driving a luxury SUV,” says Andrea, a Range Rover owner and entrepreneur in Italy's wealthy northeast. “It seems like the McCarthy era in America. You’re guilty by suspicion.”

The 43-year-old, who declined to give his last name for fear of attracting the attention of Italy’s tax agency, now plans to sell the SUV he bought last May. He expects to get at most 40,000 euros ($52,400) for a car that cost him more than 100,000 euros. “Dealers are full of luxury cars. No one wants to buy them now,” the businessman said.

5 years is not a long time for a long term investor.

I do not like Singapore tech stocks. For strange reasons, while Singapore companies have been innovative, they seem powerless in protecting their intellectual property and cashing in on their designs.

Its quite sad actually.

1. VICOM: Might be too highly priced and you have got to wait on corrections to buy in. A lot of analysis has been done on this stock, so you can easily find analysis on the web.

2. PetraFoods: Might be highly priced too. However, it is doing well in the emerging markets.

3. Etika International: Digesting from its earlier acquisition spree.

4. Wilmar International: Slowly, its assets in Malaysia and elsewhere will be injected into this company.

5. GMG Global: Turning into a China Stock. However, it has got a good growth story and markets to penetrate.

(vested in 3 and 4)

Really do not understand why the major shareholder is selling. Hope that the last quarter is profitable. Should know by end of Feb.

Artivision 3Q result is just out : Revenue S$49,000. 9M revenue was $197K, which gives it the dubious distinction of achieving probably the lowest corporate revenue in the history of Singapore Exchange.

Yet the market has given it a stock value of S$142 million. What will the future bring that can justify its S$142 million  market cap?

1 more observation -- any guys who were cheering the S-chip for defying SGX and spoiling for a fight. Hahaha...now you see the consequences. On the contrary, I think no S-chip would want to take on SGX, knowing that the killer blow may not come from SGX but from internal dissension. The disintegration starts from within.....

CFO resigned! After 3 IDs resigned and then CEO resigned.

CFO cited reason : "Resignation of directors resulting in the lack of leadership, guidance and support from Chief Executive Officer and independent directors."

Shame that the CFO, Hui San Wing, is walking out for that reason.  I don't think he should abandon ship, just like that.

This company is falling apart real fast. SGX couldn't have inflicted more pain without doing anything.

Surrender! This stock got Big Supporter called Ching Chiat Kwong  -- chairman of Oxley. He had 25m shares of Arti, then the other day added 1.5 m to become Substantial Shareholder. Crossed 5% liao.

+2 cents, at 22 cents now. This stock got liao, or it would have evaporated. Not my kind of stock, tho, as it is too speculative
