NextInsight's photojournalist, SIM KIH, is a multi-talented professional with experience in numerous facets of the media and investment industries. Previously, she worked at an investor relations company whose niche business is investment research support. She has also worked at Financial PR, Singapore's leading investor relations agency, where she raised the public profile of her clients from a wide spectrum of industries among analysts, fund managers, as well as the financial and trade press. Sim Kih's articles and photography have been published in Fairplay, The International Shipping Weekly. Her photography has also been published in local dailies - The Straits Times, The Business Times, Lianhe Zaobao and Shin Min. Sim Kih completed the Chartered Financial Analyst charter exams within 3 years during a 4.5-year stint as a full-time professional stock trader at local broking firm DMG & Partners Securities (now OSK-DMG). She has also worked for 2.5 years in Reuters, with a key role in the overhaul of its global system for assuring information quality. Her career started in 1994 as a sub-editor for Financial Times' Asia Pacific corporate news service. |
